Multiple trigger points

by Val Lewis
(Uk )

I seem to have trigger points everywhere. My rib cage especially is covered with small painful ball like areas. It seems that there isn’t an area on my body that doesn’t have them. They cause a lot of pain (like being cut with a knife) when pressed gently. I also have muscle spasms and cramps. Why do I have them all over and what is it, or the reason for it?

Painful Lumps
by: Brenda, Benefits-of-Massage-Therapy

Hello Val,
I’m sorry to hear about your pain. I would suggest that you see a doctor. Your problems do not sound like trigger points. Trigger points would be in one muscle or a group as in the calf area for a reason like past injury or trauma in that area of the body. If you have painful lumps everywhere you need to find out what it is with a diagnosis. Good luck.
